Sterling, IL / Pella, IA
Folk / Singer-songwriter
Singer-songwriter Trevor Sensor got his start in Sterling, IL, but his music career went to the next level while attending college in Pella. It was there that The Killers’ guitarist (and Pella native) Dave Keuning caught Sensor performing. Keuning connected Sensor with The Envy Corps’ Brandon Darner. After a whirlwind recording session, Sensor’s song “Reaper Man” was being played on BBC Radio 1… just weeks after being “discovered.”

Sensor performed at the inaugural Hinterland Music Festival in 2015, as well as the Gentlemen of the Road Stopover that year in Waverly. Since then, he’s been wowing critics and fans with his EPs, “Texas Girls and Jesus Christ” and “Starved Nights of Saturday Stars.” He may be an Illinois boy, but Iowa played a big role in his musical career, so we’re claiming Trevor Sensor as our own.
