Nashville, TN
Indie rock / Garage punk
I get it. It’s easy to be skeptical of a poop joke band name, but you’re going to want to keep an open mind when it comes to Diarrhea Planet. With live shows that feature six sweaty people and lots of guitar solos (sometimes multiple happening at once), these Nashville pop punk ruffians are full of fun and raw energy. Diarrhea Planet’s official bio states that the project started as a “dorm room dick joke between two friends bored by the music-business ladder-climbing of their classmates.” And you know, sometimes the greatest, loudest, heaviest and truest rock music comes from the goofiest and least expected states of mind.

Following in the footsteps of label-mates JEFF The Brotherhood, Diarrhea Planet has emerged as a strong voice in the garage rock landscape. If you’re a fan of rowdy live shows, which occasionally feature covers of Bruce Springsteen and Third Eye Blind, and are a fan of bands like Titus Andronicus, JEFF The Brotherhood and/or Screaming Females, you’re probably gonna want to check out Diarrhea Planet.
