Austin, TX
Indie rock / Garage rock
For a festival that prides itself on an eclectic mix of sounds and styles, Austin's A Giant Dog might just be the perfect band. For the jam fans, there's precise instrumentals, beautiful harmonies and all the qualities of an incredible live show. For the indie kids, there's the garage fuzz, the punk mentality and the Pitchfork street cred. For the metalheads, there's lots of songs about death. Truly a band that has something for everyone.

In 2012, A Giant Dog caught the eye of Spoon frontman Britt Daniel, which lead to touring with the legendary indie band. Their eye-popping live shows and overall brilliance earned them a spot on the Merge Records roster. AGD released their third album (their first on Merge), "Pile," in 2016 to rave reviews. Pitchfork gave the album 8.2 and stated "Beneath all of this nihilism is some real skilled songwriting that includes complex rhyme schemes, swaggering rhythms, and stunning harmonies." When a band absolutely has something for everyone, well, that means there's something for you.
